Concrete is the most widely used construction material worldwide. Many forms of construction can be realized in a relatively simple and economical way. Delta Beton has long specialized in realizing the most diverse concrete constructions, from foundations and (monolithically finished) concrete floors to complete shell skeletons. Paul Aerts of Delta Beton takes us to several reference projects.
"By pooling decades of experience, we can surely say that we form a well-oiled organization," Aerts begins. Incidentally, he does not hesitate to say that the employees learn and gain knowledge every day. "There is no other way, because every project has different specifications. Working with concrete requires enormous commitment from all employees within our organization. We therefore sink our teeth into a project as one team, for an optimal end result. Our working area generally covers all of the Netherlands, but Belgium is also an important market for us."
The formwork is made up of separate sections each time to achieve the round shape.
Delta Beton is involved in a wide variety of projects. Some of the references. A brand new parking tower is being built on the north side of Antwerp in the Luchtbal district. This late summer, 1,700 motorists should be able to park their cars there and then continue their journey towards the city in a sustainable means of transport. Aerts: "For P+R Luchtbal we are realizing the curved floors. A nice job in which we can fully apply our expertise. The same goes for the VGL tower in Tilburg, for which we realized the concrete screening. It involves a concrete wall 5 meters high and 50 centimeters thick. By building up the formwork from separate sections each time, we were able to achieve the round shape. Another great project with a lot of formwork work as well."
Because of its specialty in complex concrete structures, Delta Beton is also regularly called in as a troubleshooter. "Through a regular relationship we were asked to shine our light on foundation repair in various monumental buildings, mainly in the Randstad," Aerts says. "We developed a method to tackle these problems quickly and efficiently. Consequently, we have since successfully repaired various projects and foundations. But our core business remains the design and execution of structures and commercial floors. In order to be able to work more efficiently in this area as well, we have started developing a new system formwork. This modular formwork system promotes ease of use so that our people on the construction site can work more efficiently and faster. In short, design, development, execution and aftercare is and remains a plus!"
