Sweco acquires SGI Ingénieurs, the Belgian subsidiary of SGI Group

Sweco Belgium takes another step in its strategic growth plan by acquiring the engineering consultancy SGI Ingénieurs in Belgium. The employees involved, specializing in building structures and techniques and civil infrastructure projects, strengthen the expertise offer in Brussels and Wallonia.

SGI has a very strong reputation in the Brussels and Walloon markets for building stability and techniques, and civil engineering projects. SGI Ingénieurs' buildings and civil engineering teams work from its operating headquarters in Louvain-la-Neuve. Created in 2009 after a merger with the engineering firm Abcis-Van Wetter, the company was the Belgian branch of the international group SGI. Its 39 employees are experts in the fields of stability, civil and building engineering, and have extensive experience in their respective fields.
