The Gilde Group acquires Parallel

De Gilde Groep will acquire industry peer Parallel from Heerenveen on December 1. All employees will start working for De Gilde Groep as of that date. Director owner Bennie Schnoing will also make the move.

The acquisition fits within the growth ambitions of De Gilde Groep, which deploys professionals for projects in concrete construction and electrical engineering. Director Alfred Nanninga on the acquisition: "Parallel has existed for over 23 years and has a great deal of experience in supplying professionals in the construction industry. Their working method fits us perfectly: finding the right professionals to realize projects through inventory, monitoring and guidance. With this acquisition we strengthen our position as a partner in the construction chain. Both Bennie and his employees are a welcome addition to our organization. By joining forces, clients have a decisive specialist on their project with a single point of contact."

Schnoing is also pleased with the acquisition of his company. "I built my company from the ground up and I am proud to have found a reliable new owner with De Gilde Groep. With the acquisition effective December 1, 2020, Parallel's separate operations will cease to exist. The professionals working for them will of course continue their work with various clients, but under the banner of De Gilde Groep. Schnoing will now put his extensive experience and knowledge of the industry to work for De Gilde Groep, focusing primarily on issues such as safety, quality and production.
