The elements meet very high aesthetic requirements thanks to production in super smooth formwork and mostly with self-levelling concrete. Because everything is made to measure, the range includes the most diverse concrete elements: from walls and columns over balconies and canopies to facade bands and tiles.

Besides the first love for smooth concrete, various finishing techniques are applied such as washed, textured, acidified, sandblasted, polished, floored, ... Need for a 3D story

Karl Van Schaeybroeck, head of the study and drawing office at Enjoy Concrete: "We first drew in 2D for a long time with AutoCad Structural Detailing, which allowed us, in addition to drawing up formwork plans, to easily draw the reinforcement. Because of the often unique, 'one of a kind' custom elements we realize every day, the need for a 3D design program became increasingly important. At one point Revit briefly came into the picture, but we finally ended up with Allplan, on the recommendation of a friend of our external engineering firm. Since using this package, we have been able to design in 3D much more smoothly, accurately and efficiently."

Modeling complex custom forms

Allplan Engineering is a design program that allows the precise design of all kinds of prefabricated elements, including walls, beams and slabs, at every stage of a project. Van Schaeybroeck: "Especially the flexibility of Allplan Engineering is of great importance to us. For example, we can switch smoothly between 3D model and 2D production drawings, we link the necessary intelligence to the elements and reinforcement binders and material lists are generated automatically. Last-minute changes can also be made without difficulty. The pre-integration of reinforcement, lifting provisions, anchors and other necessary pouring provisions is an important time-saver for us. The 3D story and the exchange of IFC models with external partners drastically reduces the risk of errors and clashes. We deliberately did not opt for a link to actual production and this is due to the fact that we do not normally produce large batches of identical elements. Custom production and unique elements are now our strength."
