New addition to INWHITE UHPC family, Aalborg Excel® to enhance integration of architectural structure and aesthetics

AALBORG EXCEL®, the 2nd premixed UHPC product developed as part of the AALBORG INWHITE SOLUTION®, is intended for manufacturers seeking the ultimate surface detailing and aesthetic expression within aesthetic and architectural applications. The product is self-leveling and fast-flowing, allowing combinations with pigments and fibers; yielding very smooth surfaces, even for the most challenging shapes.

Based on Cementir's latest patented binder technology FUTURECEM™, Cementir's two premixed UHPC products, AALBORG EXTREME® (the 1^e UHPC product in the INWHITE family) and AALBORG EXCEL®, unique properties and characteristics, with comparable high compressive strength and excellent tensile strength, shrinkage and durability properties.

The technology behind the binders EXTREME and EXCEL ensures that the formulation contains no microsilica, quartz flour, slag or fly ash. This results in a unique offering in the UHPC product spectrum. Nevertheless, this provides highly economical pozzolanic components from a sustainable source. The self-leveling properties, long open time, high durability and high compressive strength in the range of 140 MPa, make EXCEL ideally suited for architectural applications with thin and complex geometries.

By adding different types of fibers and pigments, both UHPC products can help architects integrate structure, function and aesthetics. They are well suited for producing thin/slim concrete products with high aesthetic, mechanical and durability properties.
