Jan Snel realizes high-quality Top Sports Center for FC Utrecht

Modular builder Jan Snel has delivered a high-quality accommodation for the players of FC Utrecht's first team. The new, ultramodern building at sports park Overvecht-Noord in Utrecht represents, among other things, a sports hall, a gym, a players' home, a wellness and a press area.

Attention to every detail

In a period of four months, Jan Snel realized the exclusive accommodation in Utrecht. After construction work started in March of this year, the building was handed over to FC Utrecht on July 22 on a turnkey basis. The new building was realized in collaboration with Trovium Projectrealisatie, RoosRos Architecten, Van den Pol Elektrotechniek, DAADT architectuur and Korendijk.

The player accommodation consists of two floors and has a sleek, luxurious look - designed by RoosRos Architects. The facade consists of black colors with striking, contrasting white elements marking the building's main entrance. No detail has been overlooked in the process. For example, there is a separate side entrance for players coming off the field and glass walls have been placed inside for a spacious feel.

For and by elite athletes

After the entrance, with the reception and press area, the so-called players' domain begins next. The entire interior of the Top Sports Center was designed by Marieke Daamen of DAADT. To balance the transparent feel of the glass walls, black ceilings have been installed in two rooms. This brings a unique experience for the players.

That high-quality experience is important for the soccer club, underlines Edo Keuning, Operational and Financial Director at FC Utrecht.
