Sustainable concrete mortar for the Trudo Tower

The special architecture and concrete construction of the Trudo Tower made high demands on the quality of the concrete. That is why main contractor Stam en de Koning chose the concrete mortar of Jansen Beton, part of A. Jansen B.V.. This family business has been providing sustainable, circular and innovative solutions in the areas of infrastructure, recycling and concrete for fifty years. Jansen Beton supplies sustainable concrete mortar in various strength classes, from C12/15 to high strength concrete C60/75.

From several production locations in North Brabant and Amsterdam, the company supplies concrete mortar to various target groups and segments, such as contractors, private individuals, flooring companies, foundation companies and road construction. In the field of sustainable concrete mortar, the company has a pioneering role, meaning that Jansen Beton applies recycled raw materials as much as possible. "As a concrete supplier, we have signed the Concrete Agreement. If we want to reduce CO2 emissions, then applying secondary raw materials is extremely appropriate and effective in achieving that. Of course without compromising on quality," says Bert Busgen, director betonmortel zuid.

For the Trudo Tower, delivery began in 2019. In particular, it involved the floor elements of the 70-meter-high vertical forest. Busgen: "The deliveries ran until the end of 2020. As a contract partner of Stam and de Koning, we have been a reliable supplier for many years, with our knowledge being of great value. The proof clearly shows in the green oasis as an eye-catcher at Strijp-S."
