Founded shortly after World War II, the family business Agref initially focused on the production of small concrete elements including tiles and prefabricated slabs. From the sixties, it focused on its true mission and passion: brightening up buildings, towns and villages with decorative concrete elements and street furniture. Commissioned by private individuals, but especially by property developers and contractors, she produces a wide variety of customized precast concrete elements. With the third generation at the helm, the future is assured.

Architectural concrete for buildings with character

With precast elements in architectural concrete, Agref gives architects a particularly high degree of design freedom. After all, precast facade panels, canopies, building plinths, terraces and balconies can be realized in any shape, color and finish. Even rounded shapes are possible. Together with other decorative elements such as sills, cornices, ready-made stairs, columns and capstones, these determine the character and appearance of a building.

Agref has its own design office that works closely with the architect and contractor to transform technical requirements and intended specifications into beautiful, durable and reliable customization. The advantages of architectural concrete are by now well known in the sector: it is virtually indestructible, sound-insulating, extremely shockproof, weather-, wind- and fire-resistant and easy to maintain. In addition, its aesthetic properties are just as important. All these advantages fit perfectly into the framework of timeless, future-oriented architecture with respect for the environment.

More quality of life in the city

For public administrations and also for residential care centers, for example, Agref designs durable urban furniture to attractively decorate public spaces with decorative poles, benches and flower boxes. Ornamental bollards, street bollards or jumping bollards are used to indicate "the right way" and demarcate an area, such as a park, footpath, children's playground, schoolyard, sports field or parking area. In addition, ornamental bollards can function as anti-ramp posts and consequently protect the facades of homes. They thus guarantee optimal safety for pedestrians, road users and residents. But above all: they make busy urban environments a lot more livable. Agref realizes all these products in close consultation with the client.

Quasi unlimited possibilities

Agref adopts an extremely flexible attitude by proposing a wide range of finishing options for every taste and every project. These range from basic smooth through washed, acidified and sandblasted to polished, brushed or rolled. Particularly contemporary and highly sought-after are, for example, finishes with visible aggregates. The right mix of cements, sands and pigments also makes any color possible. Ideal to harmonize with the building or, just the other way around, to contrast with it. Agref even produces concrete products in the look and color of natural stone. This perfectly matches blue or white stone, without depleting the natural resources in the quarries.

Valuable expertise

All concrete experts at Agref throw the full weight of their expertise into every project. And this from the preparatory phase and first project meeting. They think proactively with the customer in terms of feasibility and stability, with their own study and drawing office analyzing, validating and adjusting the customer's technical design where necessary. In the production phase, the creative ideas and technical requirements are converted into ready-to-use elements. After thorough quality control, the elements are delivered to the construction site with our own transport. Thus Agref lives up to its name as a fully integrated precast concrete company.
