[00:03] Fundex specializes in deep pile foundations and soil-displacing screw piles of the Fundex and Tubex types. We focus primarily on inner-city areas and challenging soil conditions such as those found in the Netherlands.
[00:17] We’re currently working on several innovations. One of them is a drill bit that expands, which allows you to create a shaft with greater load-bearing capacity. Another development is an additional screw, which allows you to create a larger pile head.
[00:35] This allows you to apply greater forces across a larger concrete structure. We strive to use high-quality concrete products for our foundation piles. Combined with high-quality machinery, this enables us to create a robust pile system.
[00:52] To be able to build such a high-quality pile without causing too many problems for the client. Inner-city projects present a lot of challenges with machinery and the surrounding area.
[01:05] You’ll encounter machines 40 to 50 meters tall, next to an apartment building and along a busy street. Reinforcement cages, concrete buckets—these are the challenges of inner-city projects.
[01:19] The Fundex pile is a vibration-free system installed in the ground, which means that adjacent properties and buildings are not affected. However, above ground, we still face fall hazards that require increasing attention.
[01:34] The two beautiful places that illustrate this are Rotternova and De Zwaan in Zwolle. We came across them because of the challenging stretches in between.
[01:51] so that we can build solid foundation piles there. These are typical projects that are brought to us because of the soil conditions, and that consultants recommend to us. We will always strive to set ourselves apart in challenging projects.
