Environmentally friendly and affordable

For environmental reasons, machines must be electrified on a large scale. A hefty item for concrete plants, which must purchase a 100% battery for internal transport of the concrete and a 100% battery for unloading and hauling it out. Staring offers an affordable solution for this combination.

Staring is active in the field of electrification. With combustion engines having to disappear from production areas, it has developed equipment for concrete producers that runs on clean energy. A great example is the KUBIXX.

Thoughtful form and execution

The KUBIXX transport cube is already well known in the precast concrete industry. The KUBIXX ensures peace and order in production, arranges a homogeneous mass and thus - after pouring - an attractive and sleek concrete element. "The special shape of the cube also ensures that a minimum of residual concrete is left behind," says Michel Staring, director/owner of Staring.

Divergent sizes and energy sources

The cubel's capacity ranges from 1.4 to 8.5 m3. A traction battery allows the cubel to operate standalone. The 400V version runs on the regular power grid, whose power is converted to hydraulic energy for the various functions of the KUBIXX.

Internal concrete transport in a new look

"Because the KUBIXX can also be used for concrete transport, the current concrete transporters from precast production can be dropped," Staring says. "Here is the first big advantage. The 'simple' replacement of the diesel-mixer transporter with an electric version is a large investment with minimal progress. Buying an electric truck with electric mixer for internal concrete transport doesn't feel right either. Especially knowing that that truck is often unrecognizable within a few months. The KUBIXX makes these facilities unnecessary."

A driving unit

With electric equipment now an environmental necessity, Staring accelerated her ideas into a workable concept. She further developed components and machinery and combined them with existing technologies. The result is an industrial battery-powered "carrier," eminently usable as a mobile unit for transporting the KUBIXX.

The ideal concrete transporter

With this industrial machine - functional and efficient - Staring also offers the solution to the "changeover problem. Thanks to a sliding elevator positioning system on the carrier's loading platform, an empty KUBIXX can be exchanged for a full KUBIXX without additional handling. This makes the CARRUXX the ideal concrete transporter for trips from the plant to the mold. In addition, CARRUXX is maximally usable as a tractor of drive-out trailers and semi-trailers. And that all-electric.

Saving

Now that the concrete is delivered directly from the plant into the KUBIXX, several operations become unnecessary. Just think of the transfer from mixer to cube or KUBIXX, cleaning the transport mixer, maintenance of the mixer transporter and working at height. Staring: "Not to mention the multifunctional applicability. With the CARRUXX, the concrete producer also has a tractor for its material trucks to distribute the KUBIXXs. Together, these factors make the investment in a 100% battery more attractive and ensure that 100% battery work can begin in multiple areas with the same investment and higher returns."
