Winners of the 2026 Construsoft BIM Awards Announced

BIM-Works, Byldis, Mertens Bouwbedrijf, Reijrink Staalconstructie, Teken- en Adviesburo Gerard van Meerveld, and Victor Buyck Steel Construction finished first in the six categories and are the winners of a Construsoft BIM Award 2026. Through their craftsmanship, innovation, and smart use of BIM, these companies demonstrate what is possible when technology and collaboration come together.

Victor Buyck Steel Construction also won the People’s Choice Award; its ‘Ringvaart Bridge in Ghent’ project received 208 of the 1,861 total votes. The honorable mention goes to Vic Obdam Staalbouw for the ‘Circular Bicycle Bridge in Abbenes’ project. According to the expert jury, this project is exceptional because it gives an existing steel truss bridge a fourth lease on life. In addition, the jury highlights the power of simplicity—an approach that can truly strengthen the infrastructure.

Various companies from the construction sector participated in the 2026 Construsoft BIM Awards, ranging from leading construction firms to one-person businesses. This resulted in 25 diverse entries featuring a wide variety of materials, smart and innovative use of software, and applications of BIM.

The expert jury

The jury consisted of BIM experts Frank Maatje (Bouwen met Staal), Maikel Jagroep (Betonvereniging), Hans Hendriks (deBIMspecialist), and Jeroen Coenders (Packhunt & Voortaan). They evaluated all projects based on the use of BIM, innovation, manufacturability, sustainability, and the ‘wow factor.’.

Hans Hendriks is enthusiastic about the caliber of this year’s entries: “The quality of the entries was once again high this year. What stands out is the significantly improved justification for projects, with a strong focus on sustainability, reuse, and energy savings. The use of various materials and the growth in infrastructure projects also stand out.”

BIM Solutions

Software provider Construsoft organizes this competition every year for users of Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect. The projects competing for a Construsoft BIM Award were created using the 3D BIM software Tekla Structures and/or the cloud platform Trimble Connect.

Tekla Structures is specialized, advanced BIM software for the design, detailing, fabrication, and construction of concrete, steel, and wood structures. The software offers the highest level of detail on the market, allowing BIM data to be utilized at every stage of a project.

Trimble Connect is a powerful collaboration platform that enables project teams to collaborate in the cloud and share project information in real time.
